Everything is complete, editing, isbn’s, front and back cover, the whole book. Now, we’re waiting on Amazon. I talked with my editor this morning and everything has been sent to Amazon and now they’re reviewing the content to make sure everything is up to par.
He said that if everything looks well, they’ll come back to him letting him know. If any corrections need to be made, they’ll also let him know and he will make said corrections and send it back for review.
Everything hopefully will be fine and they’ll push it through the first time. This is why there can’t be an exact release “date.” That way, if there’s more hoops and ladders we have to go through and climb, it’ll be done. Red tape, red tape, red tape. You know how it is in the grown up world. Hurry up and wait.
I’ve been waiting…since 2017 so that’s ok. I know that this will all be worth the waiting, the doubt, the absolute fear of putting myself out there, sleepless nights making even longer work days. It’ll be worth it because it’s my dream. Dreams take work. Dreams take sacrifices. You have to be willing to put in the work to make them come true. You have to believe in yourself; have the support of family and friends, to make it come together. Also, patience, holy cow you have to be patient.
But you have to keep focus all the while on your “why.” Why it is that you are you doing this. What is my “Why” you may ask?
I want to finally put in the hands of readers all over the world, an escape, a new way of looking at things. I want my readers to be able to use their imagination. I wrote this book because I wanted to read a book like this and couldn’t find one. Then one book turned into two and now two is turning into three of this series.
I have more novels I’m working on as well outside of this series that I plan on publishing in the future but it all starts at the beginning and this is my beginning. Thank you for joining me on this journey!
