He greets God’s congregation as he does always with a smile, never telling what he may have been through, he may be hurting all the while. He proclaims God’s word each Sunday, from the bible he holds tight, knowing God will carry him, with his victory and might. Come ye to repentance for the time, it’s drawing near. You have a Wondrous Savior, of Satan you shouldn’t fear. He makes visits to the hospital, pray for me it’s bad, and all the while he holds your hand and comforts you…don’t be sad. How do we Thank a Pastor who has followed God’s great task, who does for everybody and for himself he doesn’t ask.
Is a Thank You near enough for this man who God has called, that sacrifices everything and has triumphed from the fall? He gave his life to Jesus and promised to follow God’s command, he’s going out into the wilderness, holding onto the Father’s hand. I trust you’ll always carry me, is what he says to him, lead me to your people… Father lead me to your friends. I want to tell them so bad of your Son who willingly died, then he kneels himself at his feet, holds his hands up and he cries. We see a world that’s shaken; a world of anger and fear, but to us as Christians…it just means that God’s coming is near. We can celebrate the triumph, the cross of victory, Jesus willingly went to, to be the pardon for you and me. We can’t get to God on our own, we need Jesus and his grace, so that one day in glory, we’ll see his beautiful face.
As you leave the church this morning, keep in mind why you are here, thank the pastor truly, for his words that are so dear. Thank him for his diligence and his patience all the while, thank him for his love and thank him for his smile. May all the Pastors in this room, know that you’re loved this much and Thank the Lord for his great hand that has blessed you with his touch.
