Side Stalker

He looked at her, as he did every evening at about this time. There she sat,on her old wooden porch swing, swaying to and fro, looking wistfully into the sky and humming to herself. The light of the moon fell gracefully on her face and it was as if the stars were made to twinkle in her beautiful blue eyes. Her long blonde hair lay on her shoulders and overlapped down to her slender sides. How he longed to hold her and look into her eyes, to feel the softness of her ivory skin. To feel her breath on his face as they embrace.

But it’s only a lust filled wish at this point. All he can do is merely position himself to where he can’t be seen…but she can. She almost caught him two years ago when he was in the same position as he was that night. Unbeknownst to him, as he always comes at night, her and her brother Adam had been trimming limbs off of her old favorite tree by the porch. He stooped to watch her and his foot slipped into a hole that was hidden by the blackened sky and the limb he was leaning on broke with a loud Crack that broke the silence of the night.

She called out but he wouldn’t dare answer. He simply couldn’t. There’s no way she could know he was there. He loved her…but only at a distance.
