You guys know what I’m talking about here or at least I hope. If not, I’ll explain what it is in my head. You just finished a blog and went on with your day. Then it hits you. What am I going to write about next? What should be my topic? What will really grab an audience? It’s mind boggling. To me anyways. I’m out today with my daughters and I ask my oldest what I should write about next. “I don’t know mom” is her reply. So I stare into the sky and keep on driving as my mind is fearlessly spinning trying to come up with an idea. Then I come home, prepare two meals, clean up afterwards and I sit on the couch and open WordPress. I’m scrolling through recent follows and likes and I’m going through reading others’ blogs. Mind still wondering…Writing Noise. That’s what it is to me.
Some great ideas
I just read some ideas on what to do if you get stuck in the middle of the story your writing from Couples Chronicles page. Some said step away and take break…I would agree with that…as long as I can turn my brain off. I have a problem doing that quite often. My mind turns endlessly about many things.
What I’m most excited to do
We’re planning, key word here, planning a beach trip in May. At the beginning of the day when we’re there, I like to sit on the balcony, watch the ocean and drink my coffee. If we’re able to go back this year, I will sit and watch the ocean and blog about how beautiful God’s creation is, the dogs walking the boardwalk, the boys skateboarding, the people running and the families on their bike’s. The boardwalk really is busy at 7 in the morning. I really can’t wait!!
I believe that would be the only time I can calm this writers noise in my head and will have no qualm about deciding a great topic. You can’t go wrong with Dolphins.
