We live in Virginia surrounded by beautiful mountains. The majority of the snow they’re talking about concerning us will end up there and we in the valleys will have mostly rain with chilly temperatures. Our friends up North, is a different story. I heard the mayor talking about bracing for a historic snow storm. I pray for them as this will be brutal based on the description. If anyone happens to read this and are living there…your not alone, God is with you.
Can’t stand it
I am not a winter person by any means. I’m a sun loving, flip flop wearing summer kind of girl. I love the warmth on my skin and a light breeze on my face. I dread the cold and not just because of my arthritis. Since I started driving, I can’t stand being stuck anywhere. If I choose not to drive it’s fine because I know in my mind I can go somewhere if I want to. When it snows, this girl doesn’t drive at all. I have a Ford explorer but that still doesn’t make me feel any more comfortable about it. The snow last year was up to our thighs and stuck wasn’t the word.
Maybe
We may miss this squall of storms but the way the weather men are talking, they’re keeping their eyes on one for the latter part of this week. My daughter’s 16th birthday is on Valentines Day and doesn’t want to be snowed in as she was last year. There’s a learners permit waiting as well as getting her nails done. So we’re crossing our fingers for no snow.
Say a prayer
Please pray for the folks up North. They’ll be faced with at last I heard, three feet of snow, snow drifts, extremely high winds, power outages etc.
